Brent & Corinne Engagement Session

Nothing is quite as flattering as having someone book you to do their wedding photography, especially when they don't know you personally! Because I'm a 100% referral based business (you can tell I don't even advertise via blog much!) it means a lot to me when people book me.... it usually means they know someone else who was happy with my work.

I'm excited to be shooting Brent & Corinne's wedding next month! This will be my last wedding before maternity leave so I plan on going out with a bang. If they turn out nearly as awesome as their engagement pictures I think we'll all be thrilled.... then again, I'm not sure its possible for this couple to take one single bad picture. :)

Ken & Savi

I had the privilege of meeting this beautiful family this summer.

This little guy reminded me of my own little guy. Endless energy and a pout that will melt your heart. :)

His sister was not about to be outdone though. This girl had some spunk - as well as some photography ideas. Do I see a Vtech digicam in her future?

Katelyn

This is the second time I've gotten to photograph this little princess and I have to admit, she melts my heart. She's very close to Nicholas' age and she's seriously well loved. Her daddy's over in Afghanistan right now serving our country. I hope these pictures brought a smile to his face when he saw them.

I don't know what it is about scheduling a session with me but she always seems to come down with a cold right beforehand! Good thing she wears being sick so well!!

Paul Family

There are certain people, who when they ask you to do their family photography, just make you smile. This family is one of them. Not only do they have beautiful girls... but Heather has spectacular taste in all things - so the fact that she chooses me to capture her family's memories and hang my work on her walls is a notable source of pride for me.

Jason & Lisa

Don't gasp. Don't check to see if you're on the right blog... this is INDEED a **CURRENT** session! I actually just did this session last weekend! This, in no way, means I'm caught up - I have about 50 sessions I never blogged :( but I'm going to start where I'm at and do some blast from the past posts to give some blog lovin' to my old sessions. :)

Jason & Lisa are a wonderful couple who we've had the privilege of knowing for several years! I was so excited when they called me to do their family's pictures this year because their kids grow exponentially cuter each time I see them! Plus, last year we did their pictures it was FREEZING and we weren't able to do a traditional shoot. This year was a blast - thanks for braving the ghetto with me guys! I hope you love your pictures!

This little girl cracks me up. She's her Mommy in a 3 year old's body. She puts all other kids to shame with her insane intellect... and with those curl she's a package deal. :)

It seriously doesn't get any cuter than this!

I think if these were my kids I'd get this blown up as a huge canvas on my wall and decorate around it. :)

Rosenbaum Wedding

Collin & Stephanie were married last month. It was a beautiful and sweet ceremony that was so much more about God than about themselves. They wrote their own vows and I must confess... I teared up. :) They are clearly in love with each other and I hope they are half as in love with their pictures as I am. :)

Speaking of love, I fell in love with this wall as soon as I saw it. I actually built all the other locations around where this wall was!

fave.

where's the pitchfork?

How cool do these guys look?

She's a rock star for the day. And she looks good doing it. :)

I love the cuves and lines of this picture. I'm secretly addicted to it. Every time I see it I kind of smile. :)

Peeking in on the Mr. & Mrs.

Look how intensely Collin is staring at Stephanie! I love this one.

A sweet finale to our outdoor shots.

I really wanted to capture something softer than all the urban funkyness that we rocked out. I practically had the bribe the limo driver to stop near this field... but I'm so glad he complied. This was so worth it to me.

And finally... the first dance. A personal fave.

Collin & Stephanie, your wedding was beautiful. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it!

Its a bird, its a plane! its a....

Bird. :)

bird

I have to admit. I think birds are kind of dirty. I'm pretty sure my mom told me they were when I was little and now I want nothing to do with touching a bird....

But, I do think their silhouettes are cute, I once had a wooden one in my living room until it got broken, one of my favorite t-shirts has a bird on it as well as my current journal.

And I totally dig this picture.

engaged. NW Indiana Engagement Photographer Wedding Photographer

I love my work. Its crazy, slammed, wild right now but I do love it. I'm sorry for all of my clients who don't get blog love but its not personal! Its just that it took everything I had just to get your  proofs to you!

I'm thinking about "back blogging" just to get some of my work up here but so often I look at my "old" stuff and I don't like it enough to post it... haha...

But nobody came here to read about my poor business skills... they came to see my work!  So, enjoy this recent engagement session I had. More soon. Honest.

Talk about a striking couple, right?

Day 5 [ NW Indiana Newborn Photographer ]

I'm loving all my newborns lately.

This little presh was by far my most laid back newborn to date. She slept through everything.

Meet Mikayla, 5 days old

Everything about this gal was sweet. Her full head of hair. Her sweet smile. Her chubby feet.

And she let me play. :)

Hope you enjoy your sneak peek Mom & Dad! Congratulations. :)

sweet family {NW Indiana Child and Family Photographer}

I had the joy of meeting and photographing this beautiful family earlier this week. With about a million other pictures to edit I just couldn't keep my itching fingers off of this one. This little gal just melted my heart. She was a little sick for our session but you wouldn't have known it... she just went with the flow, smiling and wooing us all with her baby charm!

She let me stick her in baskets....

in wagons....

and in hats and scarves....

And its no wonder she's so joyful. She is one well loved little baby!

They are so wrapped up in each other. :)

And I wish I could explain to you how much fun her parents were to photograph! Her dad sure has a way of making her mom laugh and there is no doubt in my mind this is one family that will have a lot of love and laughter in their home.

Thanks so much guys, I had a blast. Narrowing these down is going to be tricky!

Tom & Bridget

Tom & Bridget got married this January and trusted me to capture their day. Bridget is one of the most beautiful girls, inside and out, I have ever known and I know she is wildly happy with Tom.

Gorgeous, right?

He's a stud, himself.

These guys agree.

Pucker up Tommy. :)

Tom & Bridget's lives revolve around God. They have purposed to allow Him to transform the way they do everything, offering their whole lives as worship to Him.

And the church was packed out to see them start their lives together.

Celebrating communion together

Probably my favorite image from their day:

Married!

We wanted to take some pictures outside but it was like -25 and a blizzard.

They were troopers though.

Bridget, upon arriving at the reception hall. She is SO ready to party.

Spin City.

The big entrance.

This wedding was a serious throw down. Everyone danced all night long. It was a blast!

Tom & Bridget's first dance.

Tom, starting things off right.

This girl knows how to party.

So does her sister.

And her brother.

I like to pretend Shannon is reminiscing about big gorillas with Tom. :)

Everyone's favorite friend.

break it down ladies

I love this picture because this next couple started dating right after this wedding and I think this picture shows that latent "crush" if you will all over anna's face.

All in all everyone had a blast.

But the night had to end at some point.

Thanks Tom & Bridget. I look forward to sharing many memories to come in the future!

Happy Birthday Triniti!

Meet Triniti. I've photographed Triniti sincer her she was in her Mommy's tummy. And it has been nothing short of a joy.

She's almost 100% mobile now so she's making my job more interesting, that's for sure! But I was thrilled with the awesome pictures we got.

She's everyone's little princess.

Check out the new logo too. Thanks Ben!

This picture almost makes me cry its so beautiful. She's simply golden!

But its understandable, right? I mean, how can she not be so stinking cute when her parents are bona fide hotties. ''

1+1=3 :)

I love this picture because CJ & Lori are head over heels in love with Triniti. But their commitment to each other, and to their precious girl, is that nothing but Jesus will be at the center of their family. Now that is stinking awesome.

Thank you Triniti for a year of amazing pictures. I hope we have many years together ahead of us!

Check out this video I put together of her session. I'm trying something new with video and pictures. It was a test run so I have some tweaking to do but I'm loving the idea!

.in love.

i think engagement shots are my favorite ones to do... the models are cooperative and they can't stop smiling, they're so in love!

And its hard not to love an engagement shots where the models are... well, model-like! It sure makes my job a lot easier. :)

Enjoy the following pictures I took a couple of months ago.
